A lot of people I know are doing things differently this Valentine's Day, which means an intimate night at home instead of a fancier dinner out, and most of them are forgoing gifts in favor of thoughtful cards and a kiss. Will you spend the holiday in or out?

I don't really pay much attention to or even *like* VDay - but I'm definitely not trying to go anywhere, either. It's raining where I am and EVERYONE is out trying to do/get things for tonight.
So I'm saving my money, staying in, doing some homework and cleaning up. Maybe watch a funny movie that isn't romantic.
well i don't currently have a boyfriend, but i was planning on going to the bar with some friends. however, i've developed a heck of a cold so i'll now be staying in, watching movies all night, and potentially gorging myself on candy hahaha. happy valentine's day to everyone!
My boyfriend's band is playing tonight at a bar we frequent and although I wanted him all to myself today, his complete band hasn't been able to play in nearly a year because the guitarist moved, so this is a big deal for him. We went and had a pretty nice lunch instead of going out for a fancy dinner later and I get to boogie to some of my fav jams tonight. Not the ideal Vday, but not too shabby
.
My husband and I are going out to see "He's Just Not That Into You" and then we're going home to order Chinese food. Not much of a splurge, but more of a splurge than we usually do for a date night.
I didn't want to go out tonight, but my boyfriend insisted. Mainly because I just got my hair cut and colored today and he knows I like to go out when I get it done because I only do it twice a year. And he sent me flowers yesterday at work. Pretty cute stuff. I'm making it up to him this afternoon by making a batch of his favorite cookies.
I say first and foremost, Valentine's Day is all about loving yourself. So do something nice for yourself, whether it's reading your favorite novel or cooking for friends or going for a walk. Enjoy it.
Hubby and I are leaving soon - we have a room at a hotel on the strip and we'll be seeing a show, doing dinner etc.
We did dinner out last night, and b'fast out this moring but I'm cooking dinner now.
i'm staying in, but out sort of. i know that it's more complicated than that. my man and i went to visit my brother in maryland and went to winieries to get wine for my wedding, but otherwise we ordered chinese take out and we're sitting at home now very low key
Participating in a trivia competition - something we love to do, and it's free!
My b/f and I had a fancy dinner out last night. We mostly just hung out all day and then did some shopping this afternoon. We stayed in tonight to avoid the crowds.
I don't really *do* Valentine's Day, but I got my wisdom teeth out on Thursday - so my V-day has been has been pain pills, mashed potatoes, ice cream and soup. And a "Heroes" marathon. Is romance dead? I'm too loopy to care.
Three of my friends and I went out to dinner, bought each other little Valentines Day goody bags, and then went to our favorite bars, and danced to our favorite local band. It was one of the best V-Day's I'd had in a while.
I stayed home with my husband and we made vegetarian sushi and watched a movie and ate a heart-shaped cake. For some reason that I can't figure out, I got sick afterwards...but aside from that, it was nice.
We made dinner together and i also made desert. Gave each other gifts and took it easy for the night.
We made dinner at home with the girls and talked about love.
My partner and I just went out for dinner and then came home and watched our two favorite romantic movies: The Princess Bride and Harold and Maude.
We stayed in last night, I cooked dinner and he picked the movie...it was a nice, relaxing evening and we avoided the crazy crowds!
I spent V-Day outside with friends. Way to go!
i don't get hyped about Vday. This year my bf booked a hotel in the city were we met about an hour from where we live now. We basically caught up with friends then ordered pizza to the hotel room and watched movies. It was fantastic! I wouldn't have wanted it any other way
We realized that eating out on Valentine's Day is probably one of the worst ways to get much bang for your buck. It's usually hard to get a reservation, you are forced to buy a prix fixe menu, and often you are rushed in and out like cattle. Not to mention, Valentine's in one of the worst times to get a good tasting meal. It's like eating an overpriced catered dinner; one where the food is cliched and generic.
We stayed in I cooked dinner and we had a nice candle light dinner with music and the works.
I'd need a special someone to celebrate V-day. Seeing as I do not have that, a nice depressing evening sick at home did the trick for me.
