Last night's episode of The Office was all about Michael realizing that he's more of a softy than a shark, but I loved the beginning scene when he makes fun of his boss for trying to fax something rather than email it. If you've ever been an assistant in an office or dealt with clients that demand a fax then you'll probably enjoy this clip. What's the point in dialing on the fax (and dealing with the inevitable paper jams) when you can just email?

yea he made a good point !
but the episode was so bad n sad n the same time
1i'm a bigger fan of scanning things in and email it to people, it's so much easier than faxing, and you at least know that it'll go to the one person that you intended. it's one of those archaic things that should just go away.
2Yeah, every week I have to fax our flu reports to the State Lab, which is such a giant pain. It would be SO MUCH EASIER for us to just email it to them, but they're kind of old school over there.
I caught The Office last night and I thought it was funny but sad at the same time. I liked the Hilary Swank debate!
3Faxing's a lot faster for me, actually.
I have an all-in-one printer/scanner, and it's a hassle for me to hook it up, wait for it to warm up, scan, change it into the type of file that's needed/wanted, and email it.
I'm not sure why I like faxing. It's one of the only older technologies that I'm glad we still have!
4I wish I didn't have to fax at work--come on, it's like the email of 1988--but sometimes people want to see specific documents, and we don't have a scanner
5We JUST got a scanner at work last month, so ive been enjoying being able to email everything. Its pretty funny to watch the amazement of some of the older ladies who have been there 40 years who can now just scan copies and send them to as many different people as they need too without having to fax to each number separately. Ahhh Technology, how i love thee.
