When it comes to careers, there are worlds of unknowns and that makes it scary to jump from what we know to something totally different. It's slightly reassuring to know that many people aren't strangers to making career changes. If they can do it, why can't you? There are plenty of factors to consider, like training requirements and income expectations, but there's also your happiness to keep in mind. If you could make a career change, what would you choose?

Desigual
Too Faced
Isotoner
I'd love to have a career in animal rights. Maybe a job at a sanctuary or doing vegan outreach or anything like that. I want to feel like I'm making a difference.
1I'd love to open a small yarn/craft store, with a coffee bar in it
I could be my own
boss and be surrounded by the things I enjoy.
2SO many things! Childcare, or like work at a children's clothing store. Aerobics teacher. Professional runner (in my dreams, I am not fast enough in real life) or work in a running store or organizing races. Hooter's girl (seriously!). Work at Sephora or make-up counter. I'm an engineering now haha- it plays the bills although it's not very exciting.
3Cmd, I don't know how much free time you have. (I'm sure engineering sucks up most of it.) But, if you have any, I would suggest working at Sephora on the weekends. I work there about one day a week and it is so much fun! I hated doing retail full-time, but it's great to do part-time.
4As for me, I've always been oddly convinced I could "do it all." I want to keep my current career in politics, but move up the food chain, be a mom (someday in the far-off future), keep up with volunteering at the rape crisis center, possibly volunteer at an animal rescue center, and write my memoir. I know everyone writes memoirs these days, but I'm thoroughly convinced I could do it.
5Oh, and of course, I will open my own boutique sometime in there, as well.
6I got my BA in Art History and decided to go for Mass Comm for my M.S. because I was worried if I got my M.A. in Art History I'd never find a curatorial job but now I wish I had followed my heart. Not that I don't like my current job, but that was the dream.
7i want to work in fashion. either for a major fashion mag or house. anything that allows me to attend the shows and meet all the designers and such! and then after doing that for several years i'd love to open my own boutique
8event planning...
9If I didn't have to worry about money, I'd go back to being a makeup artist in a heartbeat.
10to be honest, i don't know what my choice career would be. i like what i do but sometimes i wonder if it would be fun to work for a stylist or a talent agency.
11I would LOVE to be a personal trainer or own a gym or something like that. I love fitness and working out, so that'd be perfect for me. I'd also love to go into a career working with animals, but for now I volunteer at the Humane Society to get my animal "fix".
12I would love to be a writing coach and a teacher mentor to entry level teachers.
13I would love to work in travel or fashion.
14fashion or owner of a gift shop
15I'd love to be able to work in historic preservation and be paid for what I think my efforts are worth.
16I would like to be a florist (with tons of gorgeous flowers to work with) or maybe a cafe owner of some sort.
17Currently I work in I.T. and I would rather start my own company and be a life organizer.
18I'd either become a housewife working on her first romance novel or get into the franchise business. Owning and operating a Subway or a Tropical Smoothie would be a good way to be my own boss.
19i'd love to own a little bakery or work in travel.
20If money weren't an issue, and anything was possible, i'd love to be a professional equestrian and have my own training barn.
That, or be one of those people who work for a luxury magazine and get to test out luxury hotels and first class cabins in airlines.
21Food critic. Haha.
22I would like to be a highly trained sushi chef...I've had other ideas but this one really appeals to me right now. I love cooking but sushi is so precise, so exacting, and so artful..it respects the food and the diner in equally high measure.
People who love sushi REALLY love it, so creating it for them would be pretty rewarding I think.
23Honestly? I want to be a pyrotechnic artist. I want to blow stuff up and set them on fire for a living. I honestly didn't even consider it was a career choice until I started watching Mythbusters and realized it was somebody's job to do that cool stuff.
24agreed megln1022!! Same dream
. I want Whitney Port's job on The City... I already
live here, I just need THAT job!!
25I want to host my own sports tv show that would focus on the positive side of sports and pro athletes all over the country/world, so I would get to travel also. And I'd love to work with Clint Eastwood on anything.
Or I'd like to be a trophy wife and fill my days doing what I please in awesome clothes.
26There seem to be shortage of jobs all over the nation and it’s making it harder to find work for us all. I'm ready for a career change and my sister told be about the executive job placement service she used and I think I’m going to give it a try and start a new career.
