Your immediate goal in this economic climate might simply be to keep your job, but a stagnant economy doesn't mean we have to stop thinking of where we're going with our careers. It's important for your professional growth and your personal satisfaction to constantly be thinking about your goals and how you're going to achieve them. So tell me, what are your career goals for the new year and beyond?

I'll be up for my PHR certification at the end of '09, so I plan to learn as much as possible so I can take it in early '10. Also, I'd like to start getting my MBA at some point this year... I'm going to try for fall '09 enrollment, but I have to take the GMAT first!
1new job! preferably in my chosen career (which i not currently working in!)
2After the busy season ends (April 15th tax deadline), I'd like to be moved from administrative to tax preparer for the firm. I learn quickly and it would really help with practical applications for the classes I'm taking too. We'll see what happens...
3I'll be finishing the last of the classwork for my MS and hopefully getting a job out of my internship. I'm also going to be starting work on my MBA this summer.
4my goals? well i'd love to get at least one promotion, if not more given that i've taking on a LOT of responsibility over the past year and didn't get anything really for it. besides that - i'd just like to make a little more $$ too - that's not asking too much is it? the challenge is that in the company that i work at, there's no position that's just one higher than mine. there's a leap up 2 levels, but there aren't any openings cause that would mean that my boss would have to leave and i don't see that happening.
5Im going to get an industry certification
6Honestly, I just want to keep my job, and get another raise since I've taken on more responsibilities as of late and likely will continue to take on even more!
7Try my first JURY TRIAL
8Get promoted to senior
9To keep my job.
10I don't have a career nor to I care to have one... I just want to keep my job so it can continue to facilitate me creating my art.
I actually lost my job in a 2% company cut in October. So I went to school to get my real estate license. Being a person who doesn't like change or risk, this is HUGE for me.
11To continue being the best wife, mother, housekeeper, family planner, events coordinator, chauffeur, chef, etc. I can be.
12Get a second job. I am in school and have a job through work study, but it's only 6 hours a week and I really want to make more money and save as much as I can towards my future, be it for paying off loans, saving it for whatever I want to do after I am done graduating. Also do another internship for the spring that is related to what I would possibly like to do as a career. Importantly figure out what kind of career path I would like to go towards, I am still torn-can't pinpoint one thing for sure. *SIGH*
13Career is my priority in 2009! My goals are to get a job in my field (I have a very promising interview soon!)and complete my OCS applications for Marine Corps and Coast Guard. Not sure which way I will go, civilian or military, but I figure that decision will become more clear as the year progresses.
14Get a TA position at my university in the fall and get an internship in Chicago in architecture this summer.
15Depends. I'd rather just stay where I am, but as my layoff date gets nearer I don't know if they'll be able to save me.
If I do get laid off, I'd like to do what I do now. I'm not too picky, I could be happy most anywhere. I plan to look at executive assistant positions too though, not just logistics work.
16either take on more responsibilities in my current role or begin my masters
171) Get some letters after my name. 2)Get a job. 3)Make as much as I was making before.
18i'll study harder so i can graduate on time.. and hopefully that will lead me to a better career in life..
