As much as we try to avoid it, sometimes we can't escape bringing our work with us when we're away from home. Most recently, my work came with me on a trip to Los Angeles, but the most inappropriate place my work has been was a camping ground in Northern California (believe me, my friends gave me plenty of flack about this one). Many of us have traveled during the last month or so, and I'm curious if your job managed to make it along on your holiday. Where has your work been?

At the office...where I was not. Hooray for winter holiday vacations!
1my work has traveled quite a bit. it came with me to hawaii for a week long vacation, and it came with me to mexico on the beach...and it even had surgery. when i was in the hospital recovering from knee surgery i was plugging away like a good worker bee.
2I don't get to travel much anymore, but I must say I am guilty of checking my work email while I am on vacation. So Baltimore and Gatlinburg.
3i really can't say as i've ever answered work emails on vacation yet
my work is going to take me overseas this month but that's actually FOR WORK not pleasure
i really try not to log into my work account from home because if i see something stressful or if a problem arises i don't want it to detract from my mental holiday
i did do some work/school-related stuff on a trip to whistler though but that was more like responding to a coop job interview email and then preparing for that interview
oh and i've done school reading on a plane trip to hawaii but not a lot
4My partner returned a few calls during our paris trip, and I had a call on the Eurostar heading back, so thats two hits for france...
5What trip/vacation?
6I work for a very very small company (me and the boss man) so my work follows me everywhere, Ireland, England, France, Hawaii, A cruise in Alaska, Yellowstone, and most recently Disney World. It's a trade off, I get all the vacation time I want (within reason of course) but I just have to be accessible. Works for me!
7I just had 2 weeks off and started a new job *today* so I managed to not work for anyone but myself over the holidays.
8Fortunately, my vacation is my work's vacation. But I have taken work to St Croix. I got so upset when I found out the side of the hotel I was on didn't have wifi.
9bellaressa were you talking to me? we went to paris for a weekend in november - a long romantic one! It was lovely!!!
10No gem but that is nice to know. I haven't taken a true vacation in 2 years.
11What were you working on, Savvy?
I check my work emails at home ... but then again, I also check gossip sites at work. I think I have trouble compartmentalizing.
12I can't take my work home (that'd be pretty scary...I definitely do NOT want live bacteria cultures in my house!), so the farthest it's been has been in the lab.
