5 Things to Accomplish Before 2009
Send Holiday Cards
Even if you don't typically send holiday cards to your extended network, this year it could be worth the cost of postage to send a thoughtful card to some people you haven't heard or seen in a little while. It doesn't have to be an extensive note, but be sure to write more than signing a pre-printed card — those never make it on to people's refrigerators!

i feel like some of these are no brainers and some of them just don't apply to me. i have been paying attention to my 401 (k) and all my potential retirement planning so that's a check in that box, and i've prepared myself for my taxes since i would LOVE to file early and get that $$ sooner rather than later. the holiday party and work journal just don't seem to apply to me this year. my office is moving buildings and they are foregoing the holiday party because of that (they say - but we all know that it's because of money)
i think that it's good to put things into perspective though since the year's almost over.
