Oh man, there's this woman I work with that drives me absolutely nuts. She was the one who trained me and she sort of "hazed" me by making me do all the crap work for her because I had to "learn how to do it". Meanwhile, she just sat and watched me do all HER work while she checked her email and took an extra long lunch with her boyfriend. She always likes to find extra sh*t for me to do and she acts like she's the boss even though she is so totally NOT.

The thing is, outside of work she's a really nice person. So I don't think I'd set her up as a drug dealer or anything

Hands down, this was the funniest opening to The Office ever.

There have been so many. I think the worst one, though, was this idiotic woman who trained me for my current job. All she could teach me, she taught me within the first two hours I was on the job, but she stuck around for another week. She never shut up, and she was so slow in the head a truck could have hit her and she wouldn't have known. Ugh. Good riddance.

My least favorite coworker is someone I mostly dislike because of how sloppy she is. She is obese and unkempt and wears her uniform with no pride whatsoever. She's obviously capable of meeting appearance and fitness standards, but she has let her discipline shrink away.

Are you military, foxie? Def sounds like it. We have a word for people like that: sh*tbags.
I have the same issue with a guy here at work... obese (he will sit an eat an ENTIRE pie in a work day. Not a single wrap pie... a friggin' 9" pie), sloppy, but in addition, he's an *sshole. When he gets candy from the jar at my desk, he just throws his wrappers on the floor. He's referred to me as "The Help" several times, and he angrily sent me an "Obama is a Muslim" email on election day when I sent out a link to finding your polling station to all employees.

I just thought of another one: the crackhead salesperson I used to manage, who could not shut up for five seconds.

Yep, I am. I know you used to be in the Navy, so you know how it is. People have their ways of slinking around the fitness program and being "on profile" their entire enlistment. It pisses me off to no end.
Also- an ENTIRE PIE? Holy crap.

eating an entire pie during a work day would be awesome.... yum.

I don't like tattle-tell co-workers. like angela from the office.. always on someone about something, ugh.

My least favorite co worker was from my last job. She was nice enough, but kind of a wack job. She would spout off her theories on how gravity would disappear and we'd all fall of the planet (due to the war in the Middle East), make up stories about seeing dead bodies, and one day she went on this rant about how a vegetarian co worker wasn't really a vegetarian because she ate eggs. She would say something like "The sky is purple" and if you disagreed she would rant for a while and then say well we have to agree to disagree. Very annoying.

My least favorite Co-worker described:

the two secretaries I've had at this job. both lazy and passive-aggressive. if confronted about not doing their work, they act defensive rather than apologetic. I don't understand that! the one who I have now has resigned, but hasn't left yet or given a date that she is leaving. she is my boss' friend so I'm hoping she doesn't get to hang around indefinitely, saying "what are you going to do? fire me?" whenever she messes something up.

I used to be a preschool teacher and my assistant was the worst! She had no personality at all. She would just sit in the classroom all day long, not talk, not smile, nothing. Even when the kids were fighting and beating the crap out of each other she would just sit on the floor and do nothing about it.

If I had to pick just ONE co-worker, it would have to be the one I lovingly refer to as "Wapner". I call her this because she's almost like an autistic child the way her routines run. Before you jump on me for, what sounds like, criticizing children with autism, please don't. My brother is autistic, so I grew up very conscious of the disorder. She gathers all of her things at the end of her day in the exact, same order. I've watched her. Several times. It's odd.

Regardless, this woman makes me NUTS. She is CONSTANTLY asking everyone else what she should do, say if an order comes thru without a size or color choice, etc. She is one of the company's oldest employees and I mean that in both age and length of employment. She should know every single thing about this place! She refuses to learn anything! She can barely use e mail. And don't even get me started on making her own damn phone calls. Ugh. Until recently, she would bring everything to me and say, "I need you to call this school and find out what size they want." And here's the kicker... EVERYONE knows that she NEVER takes phone calls. EVER. So, one of the first things you learn when you're training here is "Send every phone call for "Wapner" to her voicemail." Basically, she calls them back when she knows they will already be gone and she gets to play phone tag with them until, you guessed it... it becomes my problem.

Wow, sorry for the rant. But, boy do I feel better!

well i don't think that i have a co-worker who's worse than any others. the thing that bugs me the most about one of my co-workers is that she talks really really loud and doesn't even seem to care. we sit right next to each other and i'm on conference calls all day long, and there are so many times that she just starts talking really really loud and it's so hard for me to hear my call and i can't ever talk on my calls either since i always have to have them on mute otherwise my clients will hear her. i just can't understand how she doesn't realize that she needs to shush while i'm on the call.

at my last job there was this girl who was the manager's b*tch. i swear this girl was like in love with her! she took her out to dinner for her birthday, just the two of them! you couldn't do or say anything in front of her because suddenly it was like the manager had been there when it happened. say you took a dump, in about 5 minutes, the manager would know how big, what color, the smell, and the face you made! ugh, good riddens. i HAD to quit.

My least favorite co-worker is a nice person, but doesn't know how to follow directions sometimes. I've had to fix his mistakes in the past and it's annoying because those tasks, if done properly, should not take very long. He's already been in his position for over a year and still forgets how to send interdepartmental mail. Or rather, he feels it easier to pass the task on to me. My superiors are aware of it but he's only been gently reprimanded or they ignore the problem all together because they'd rather I do the job right the first time than he mess it up and I have to fix it anyway. Bleh.

I personally can't stand dramatic people. People who make things about 100 times bigger than they need to be. Its just not necessary. I try and squash it ASAP. Ugh. Or high up people who have no regards for anyone else and make all their calls on speakerphone and talk SO loud. Its just plain old rude.

Oh good lord - the co-worker who was so insecure that after I spent $$$$ to finish my degree got hostile because she thought I was "moving up the ladder as she was moving down." I did not change my position or go after her job. She refused to teach any new hires how to do the job even though management asked her to, consequently when she finally left our workplace the rest of us could not immediately step in and do her work. She also sabotaged us on her way out by deleting many electronic files we needed.

We lavished her with praise to try and reassure her we thought she was valuable (and she was very good at some things) but she needed constant reassurance. She apparently thought sharing her knowledge would eventually lead us to be better as a team than she was alone and she resisted that to the very end. Consequently, I think our office suffered because we were only allowed to be as good and as busy as she alone could handle, even though there were a few more of us who were capable.

Hyper, grating, brusque, driven to the point of relentless rudeness....while I respect that she cares about getting the job done, I do too - without acting like an arse.

i've had a couple of nightmares: one was a passive agressive behemoth of a woman who knew it all, and the other was a not-so-bright plagiarist who sexually harassed me the first time we met.

i hate working with two or three old school nurses who are completely down on everything. they complain about the pay, the hours, the way every other nurse does anything, the doctors, the parking lot, the patients, the patients families...ugh and i love getting the speech on the "good old days" when nurses wore dresses and things were harder and they are so much better than the rest of us because they didn't have all this new equipment and blah blah blah. and, it is ALL they talk about. on my break, i just want to relax and chit chat, and they just want to complain.

There is one lady who works above me, but she is not my boss. She tells me I'm doing something instead of asking me. She moves things around and then doesn't let everyone know. I calmly asked her one day to just inform a few people in the dept. if she was changing something so we would all know and she got uber-defensive and said she only moved something 4 inches. She wouldn't even say, "ok, that's reasonable." She argued with me for a few minutes then said that the conversation was over and refused to say anything. THEN she told our boss and I had to have a meeting with him and explain my side of the "incident."

i can't stand the co-worker who thinks she's my boss because she was here first and is older than me.

she just an idea that dumb admin things need to be done, like a phone call for boxes to be picked up and disturbs me from what I'm doing to say "hey can you call the place and see if they can do a pick up?" and then i look at her like she's nuts and say's sure when i have time.

and she's always at least a half hour late for work but lives 20 minutes away.

At my old job there was a guy that would ask so many personal questions and some were just rude. He knew I had a boyfriend so nothing would happen between us but sometimes I think he was just trying to get under my skin.

Some days they all drive me nuts! Right now I am having major problems with my new boss, mostly because he has major anxiety attacks about everything, but also because he has freakishly small feet.

At least yours doesn't routinely ask where he put that piece of paper that he was holding the one time last week, then get snippy if you don't remember.

this woman whom i work with comes in everyday late, hungover and/or drunk.
worst of all, she hasn't even been reprimanded yet. it sucks when you are always on time and responsible, yet you still get treated the same as someone who acts like that!

The worst was when I worked at a nursing home. I was great friends with this girl, who apparently had serious issues. Turns out she keyed my car, said horrible things about me to guys I liked (I was single at the time and she WASN'T!!) and every other horrible thing you could think of.
Our friendship soured, and to make matters worse we had to work with each other everyday.
And what made it 10 times worse is that all my co-workers were gossip loving dramatizing idiots who would go back and forth telling each one of us what the other one supposedly said. Granted me and this girl hated each other, but my other co-workers fed the fire and made it even worse cause they wanted to see the drama. Once I found out that had been going on, I finally quit "talking" about this other girl to them so they had nothing to tell her. But that didn't work, they just started making things up.
The drama kept on and on and each day I was MISERABLE there, and it interfered with me doing my job.
To say the least, I finally just threw my hands up, gave that place the finger and walked out. And I know it hurt them because only me and one other staff person actually busted our butts doing our job to the T and they no longer had me to pick up their slack! They actually had the nerve to beg me to come back!! Can you guess what I told them? Haha!
