Once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Maybe a third time after work. I try to restrict my e-mail-checking to try and actually get some work done. My job is very goal and numbers
oriented so I always got to sacrifice some Internet usage.
i check it compulsively like a million times a day. i have a second job in promotions. the booking relies completely on emails. so if i dont check my personal email i can't work my promotions
job...i need a blackberry !
I'm signed in all day, but I keep it in an IE tab so I check it only when I see there's an email. And when I have time to check my emails, too - when I have work to do I don't even think
about it.

I have Gchat, so there's a little icon in my taskbar that shows when my personal Gmail account has a new message. So I check it then
1I'd go with the 4-5. I usually check it about twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon.
I dont know why, because I almost never get emails to my personal account, but it's more of a habitual thing than a necessity.
2*almost never get emails to personal account during the day!
3Every. 3. Seconds.
4Depends. If I'm in receipt of an important email then I'll check it a few times a day until I get it. If not, once a day.
5Usually around 5-6 times a day.
6My company blocks all outside email providers.
7well i have the window up all day but i don't usually check it unless i get an 'alert' that i have a few new emails in my inbox
8I'm addicted. Glad to hear that others are as well

11The firewalls at work will not allow me to check personal email.
12Every other second!
13I check about 2 to 3 times daily on the job's computer but I have the internet on the sidekick so I check more often on that.
14A few times a day. Depends how busy I am and if the big boss is here. lol.
15At my current job, never. I don't have internet access, it's a restaurant. At my old job, I was signed in almost all the time.
16Once or twice, only.
Most people just use my work email
these days since it's easier to get ahold of me.
17Never. They've blocked all internet email services, because they're worried people will download harmful files.

233 million..I work at the University I graduated from, so my email stayed the same, so I get my work/personal emails from the same place
24I only check it once a day when I'm on break. But I leave my Outlook email for work stuff open all the time in case I get anything important.
25Just once or twice, if a friend needs to contact me they usually ping me on MSN or Skype.
These days my personal email box might as well be renamed spam-trap.
26I work for a county government where employees get fired for going online for personal use. So, no. Never.
27I configured my personal AOL email to run through Outlook
28I never use to for the past 2 years, but lately I have been checking my email a few times a day. It helps sitting next to IT.
