Casting your vote for the next US president should be a priority today, and we can expect Election Day voting lines to be on the longer side this year. Here in California the polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., so hopefully the long hours encourage everyone to get out and vote. Will you be leaving work early or taking time out of your day to vote?

I went this morning when they opened at 7 a.m. It only took 20 minutes.
I'll wait till I leave work today. Didn't want my son to be late for school this morning.
I am leaving work early and heading straight to the polls. I couldnt be more excited!
I wait in line for 2.5 hours and got into work about an hour and 15 minutes late. My boss was, of course, understanding :]

Totally looking forward to missing much work today to go vote on my lunch break
I voted this morning and came to work late.

Here in Puerto Rico we have the day off, its like Chrismas
Puertoricans tend to be
very political active so there is a lot of people making campain in the streets, almost everyone votes, there's a party in every central comitee win or lose election day here is like a big
New Years eve with fireworks and everything.
I don't work today and I voted on October 20th, so I guess my bases are covered.
I voted by mail but I'll still be going home early, hehehe.
I live in Chicago and work in the Loop so all the big offices are closing at 3pm due to the rally. I already voted!
Say yes to 3!!!!
I voted this morning.
I voted two weeks ago.
I voted before work. Polls opened at 7 and I got there about 7:15. I only had to wait 10 minutes.
I was able to vote last week and avoid the lines!
I voted last week. I love getting my ballot in the mail!
I'm going to swing by on my lunch break (my polling place is an elementary school that I can literally see the back of from my office) and see, but if the lines look long I'll just go back on my way home from work. We have investors coming by today, so the boss wants us all back in our desks by 1:30 "looking like we're working".
I love absentee voting -- it's great to sit there with my ballot and all the voting info and take all the time I need. Turned it in last week.
But HUGE props to everyone who's going out there today and waiting in long lines. Apparently, polling workers say the least busy times are late morning (before lunch) and early afternoon (after lunch). Know how you want to vote when you get there so people in line can get in sooner too!
I did the absentee ballot thing, it's just simpler that way.
Absentee ballot! Except the $0.59 postage sucked.
Oregon has mail in ballots so I voted on the 18th.
I was late to work so that I could vote this morning. However, it was not the voting itself that took a long time. I actually only waited in line for less than 5 minutes! I take public transportation to work and since I had missed all the peak hour morning trains, I had to wait around for the next train.
i had the day off!
I woke up at the crack of dawn to ensure that when the polls open at 7 I would give myself at least an hour and a half to wait in line and vote since I have to be at work by 8:30, and I only needed an hour and 10 mintues of that leeway!
I got up early this morning to cast my vote. I was only 30 minutes late for work.
I voted early last week. No lines!
Absentee ballot. Almost everyone I work with is not a U.S. citizen, so there is no way we would have been able to leave early, anyway.
I mailed my ballot in.
I voted by mail weeks ago!
