Yes I am linked with American Airlines and Delta. I am just a few flights away from a free one on Delta:) My ultimate is to one day get a free business class international flight.

I redeemed 25,000 American Airline miles last year to take a flight from MA to CA. Took me a while to earn them, but I was more than happy not to pay for that flight. I'm got some miles stored up with other airlines that I'm waiting for the perfect opportunity to redeem (as long as the airlines don't go bankrupt first).

yep i use continental and i have their credit card so i can accumulate points both ways. i used points for a flight to indiana for a wedding and i used the rest of my points, and bought a few extra for a trip to mexico. and i got to fly first class back. so now i'm down to practically no points but i'm working my way back up!

My grandparents set me up with a Delta SkyMiles membership in 1995 and I have used it ever since. I've earned two free trips in the continental U.S. through the SkyMiles program and I'm working towards a third right now (only this time I want to earn enough miles to fly to Hawaii for free!).

I have over 100,000 NWA miles saved up. I'm planning on using them to visit home after I move to Europe next Spring. I have to get another 2,000 miles this year to retain my Elite status also.

I used to fly a lot for a previous job so I was able to rack up some miles and get free tixs. Now...not so much.

We don't fly often, but we had a whole bunch of miles from NWA from when we flew to San Diego a couple of years ago. We used the miles for a free flight out to Denver last year to visit my sister-in-law. I still have a few left...maybe I'll donate them or something because we don't plan on flying anywhere before they expire.

back when i didn't fly as frequently, I was not a member anywhere. But now with our frequent trips to France to pick up my step-son we are full fledged members. We have used our miles at least three times to "pay" for our flight to Paris and on several other occasions to upgrade from coach to business class, (once I even upgraded to first class...now that IS the way to fly to Paris!) My husband and I are both "gold" medallion fliers with Delta so we get automatic upgrades when available and get to check-in in the first class line...it's awesome and I would never complain about it, but when you travel as much as we do it really becomes terrible so any little perk helps.

my fiance teases me because i'm a DEVOTE user of frequent flyer programs. i am an elite on one airline and that means that i get upgrades and free bags and all that - and this past month i was 798 miles from keeping my elite status for next year, and i made sure that my last work trip flew me on an airline so i could maintain my status...and i got laughed at.

because there are times that my preferred airline is a LOT more expensive, i'm a part of several programs, and i try to make sure that i'm choosing either the #1 or #2 choice so that i'm at least accumulating enough miles to make a difference.

I don't fly enough to get enough points to spend. Oh well.

I got my first passport at the same time as my birth certificate, I fly a lot!! I always fly the same airline, making me an elite member and it's definitely worth it because you don't have weight restrictions on your bag, can go through the faster lines, board first, and get upgrades. I have their amex credit card as well and I do everything I can to accumulate amex points, which translate to frequent flyer miles. I live in the city where the airline is headquartered, so it makes sense for me to stick with it because all flights are one way, and it's also the shortest route to latin america. The only thing is since they have a monopoly on certain latin american flights, those are extremely expensive. Those are the ones I try to buy with miles. I treat miles like money - they are gold! I am constantly checking the airline's website to try to get the best deals and buy tickets with "cheap" miles. With the state of the airline industry even the "cheap" airlines aren't so much anymore and end up costing pretty much the same as my own airline, so it's not worth it to make the switch.
