9 Ways to Save Time and Be More Productive
Staying at Your Desk For Lunch?
Did you know you can program your TiVo online? If you have a Series2 TiVo box, you can easily schedule recordings anywhere you have access to the web. You just have to set up an online account with TiVo.
You can also organize your Netflix queue (doy), pay your utilities, check your credit card and bank statements and do personal calendaring.

Good tips! Thanks!
1very smart ideas! i liked them
2what a time waster to register just to make a comment (ironic, and part of the problem the article addressed) I don't know the age group you are trying to help but it seems that many more 'old fashioned' ways to be organized work more effectively to this old fart. Computor's/technology were supposed to make our lives easier, remember? I have an old timey paper appt book. It is a wonderful 'devise'. I can copy birthdays/anniversaries into the new one each December and that updates significant changes. By 1 book I can combine personal/professional obligations easily, keep things straight. I think simple can be better.
3I totally agree with sesap. All the "helpful hints" are basically the same thing: get a computer program to type a list on to. Paper & Pencil are much easier and always on hand. (and no new passwords to memorize, programs to learn etc)
Want to make your life easier? Downshift into the slow lane, re-evalutate your priorities and stop wasting time watching TV and shopping for stuff you don't need at the mall. Then you'll need less help saving time because you'll have more time to spend.
4This isn't a realistic tip as most companies don't allow workers to use their work computers for personal use. This is due to the risk of information security breaches and/or allowing malware access to company network resources.
5Some people, such as myself, work from their personal computer. I could use a company computer, but then I would have the hassle of moving files back and forth. Its just easier to bring my macbook with me and download all the proxy servers I need to access network information at work and at home.
As for the "members" above, if you ever come back, some of us don't use paper. Honestly the only time I print is to formally hand someone a document. I haven't used paper since I switched to using my macbook for everything in college. I don't have an iphone but I do have an ipod touch that performs just the same. Why outsource to paper when I can better use the tools I have (it saves money and trees). I think it is very nice that savvy sugar rounded up all of these tools to use electronically. I don't think it is expected to use them all, but to pick a couple that works best for you. Everyones life is different and I think it is rude of you two to dismiss this.
6I agree Jessiebanana!
i could ask the same question to the 'members' above..
why would you use paper when you can use a computer and save a tree..seriously! i also don't print out anything unless i need
7to hand someone a document with my signature on it. otherwise
PAPER FREE, BABY! and i love it!
I agree with the posters above as well: I'm appreciative that Savvy took the time to put together suggestions for MODERN women who are busy with work and school (like myself) who can really benefit from some time saving tips. I use a regular "planner" even though i have a palm phone because I like looking at it that way but i do use my palm for reminders and keeping lists of tasks and memos.
