Sometimes. I can get a bit jealous in a harmless way but I always live within my means.

Hell yes. Otherwise I wouldn't be on beauty sugar and bella sugar : ) hehe. Actually, it has more to do with being able to give my kids the "good life" when I look around and see all these older parents with their kids taking trips, having houses (we're in an apartment), and so on.

When I was married, I felt the need to keep up with other married couples. Now that I'm divorced, I could care less about what other people have.

when i was younger living in NYC for the first time, i was a stylist working with socialites and celebrities and image is everything when you're a stylist - so i did feel like to get ahead i had to kind of live beyond my means. luckily i was making a decent amount of money that i didn't dig myself into too big of a hole.

No way. I could care less what other people have. My mother, on the other hand, is exactly the opposite. She always wants the latest, coolest thing that her friends have (or that me and my sister have). I'm so glad I never really caught on with doing that. I think I'd be a lot poorer otherwise.

No . . . We live within our means (my husband is the Budget King) and although we aren't rich among our friends (both his and mines) we are the "Joneses" although we don't push that in any of our friends faces we work very hard and make a lot of sacrifices.

Sometimes. I have some friends who like to flash what they own, particularly if the items are name-brand or expensive. But I also have very down-to-earth friends who help keep me grounded, and honestly, it's too tiring and expensive to keep up with the Joneses. Not worth it.

Never. I feel sorry for people stuck in 'The Matrix'.

I'm with bellaressa, I barely can pay my rent, so I don't buy things unless I absolutely need it!

There are many more people who don't have what the "Joneses" have than people that do, so I don't worry about it. I prefer not to have the newest iPod or whatever, rather than being stressed about paying the rent.

When I was younger, I always wanted more. My parents were cheap, now my husband is cheap. So basically, I haven't been allowed to keep up with the Joneses since birth and I'm used to it. I am a product of my environment.
