When we have the urge to update our wardrobes, window shopping sometimes just doesn't cut it. Sales offer a way for us to buy without paying full price and that makes us feel great because we've gotten a deal, but only shopping sales limits our choices and we may be left wanting for something that makes us more excited than the sale rack offerings.
Shiseido
Suss

On staple pieces I like to buy quality so if that means buying at full price to make sure it is in my wardrobe than I do it. On basics I totally hit the sale rack. Interview clothes I also make sure they are high quality as well! You can always tell when a sweater or white button down is cheap.
1The vote results can be spun more ways than one. Someone shopping exclusively on discount products may be buying 20% or more cheaper. But if that was 20% off of Prada pumps, she still spent more than my monthly car payment. BlueFly.com is always on sale.
2Usually. I love a quality item for a bargain.
3If you're talking strictly clothing, then yes. I don't remember the last time I paid full price for something. I usually walk into a store and go directly to the clearance section or wait until I get a great coupon code via e-mail to buy anything.
4I can't remember the last time, if ever, I paid full price for anything either. I always check out the sale/clearance rack first and then hit up the rest of the store.
5Im in college I cant afford non-sales item clothes
6I shop within my budget. At some stores I can afford to shop in regular racks, while at others I can only afford the sales racks. It does feel really good to find a great discount, though.
7Mostly, although if something is not on sale and I really want it, I'll buy it.
8This is the beauty of online shopping! With all the coupon codes out there things are almost always on sale. Occasionally I'll buy stuff at regular prices, but I love getting a good deal.
9i don't only shop sales, but what my mom and i do, we don't shop at the higher end stores so we're paying less and we usually only go shopping when she gets something in the mail from her store care for a % off.
10The only clothes I seem to pay full price for are blue jeans. Other than that, I wait until some of the more ridiculous prices are lowered to something reasonable. Two hundred dollars for shoes? No way. Fifty dollars for the same shoes six months later? All mine!
11Yes, I pretty much only shop sales with clothes--I'm thrifty like that.
But makeup
(or the makeup I like) doesn't really go on sale, so...no MAC sales for me.
12it all depends. if a store i like is having a sale- awesome. but i hate combing through the sale and discount racks places- its too messy for me. when i shop online though i search for coupon codes- you can usually find one somewhere that applies!
13I try to do sales ... but I almost never have luck getting staple items on sale, so it gets hard to resist the regular sales racks.
14sales, coupons, stores like Nordstrom Rack & Marshalls - absolutely. I haven't bought anything full price in quite awhile, even though it's tough because my size seems to be the first to sell out!
15I do both. I like finding things on sale, but if it something that I really want, sometimes I just go for it. Although, the things I buy on sale are still way more expensive than some other things that are regular priced from different stores.
16it's hard for me to find clothes petite enough, and I don't have much time to shop, so I pay full price if I find something that actually fits that I love.
17I only shop sales, for EVERYTHING. Its very rare I pay full price for anything, even food, unless I have to.
18It depends on the item, but I can't resist stores like Neiman Marcus Last Call!
19no i don't really shop sales. i hate fighting over clothes at those things. i'd rather have fewer things and not have to deal. with my kids clothes i can pass down their things from one to the next, to the next. so i buy nice things and pass them down. i have some glitter jeans i bought for around $40 and all 3 of my girls have worn them. i wash them on gentle, inside out and drip dry. they still look great so i totally don't mind paying full price.
however, on things other than clothes; makeup, furniture, etc. no way am i paying full price. on sale or it's no sale.
20Something has to be REALLY great if I'm going to pay full retail for it. I pretty much don't buy clothing unless it's on sale.
21there's usually great stuff in the sale section, you just have to dig!! retail mark ups are always huge, so i love being able to pay a little closer to what the item actually costs. although, i always pay full price on bags. i like going to nordstrom rack to get the same thing they sell at nordstrom, but for half the price!! it's amazing!! i think i get a rush out of getting so many good things for the price of one normally!
EXCEPT at coach, oh how i love those 25% off events..... so much so, that i never buy things full price there.
