Yes, and what a nightmare it was to pay off the card. I've since been good because I only use one major card for all credit purchases. It makes it easier to manage and pay off every time I make a purchase.

haha well my credit limit is $12,500 so I think there would be something wrong with me if I went over that
Yes but only by $50 and it was by total accident bc we bought a new iMac and I thought the charge would go through after the statement closed but Apple was fast to charge me, they refunded me the over-age fee bc I'm have impeccable record with them otherwise
4yes with my first card. i've vowed never to go over my limit again.
5my limits are ridiculously high so as lovely said, if i ever go over that i have a big problem!
6I have gone over my credit limit but only twice.
7Oh, college. I do not miss those days.
8No
9Nope
10i came within about 100 dollars of my limit my senior year of college. i had used my card for my study abroad program that summer, because it was waaay more money than i thought it would be, but when i came home i hadn't taken into consideration that i wouldn't be getting a real paycheck for close to a month after getting home. between buying books for school and moving back into my apartment, i totally used up whatever i had left on my card. my limit was only $3500 but it was enough for me, i'm still paying it off (even though the experience was worth it) and haven't charged anything in six months. i cannot wait to pay off this last $700 that i owe!
11Back in the day I did from time to time but I managed to work my way out of credit and debt entirely and I never plan to revisit it.
These days I am a happy renter, and 100% paid for, and that's just how I like it, especially in this screwy global economy.
12yes! -- but it was totally by accident and only by something like 30-cents.
I had just assumed my payment had already gone through from the previous month so I thought the balance was clear, but I guess the mail was slow that week!
13Gone over and got another credit card to pay the bill. I used to panic big time and never thought things through when I first got on my own.

I'm having a hard time feeling like a bad person when the government is bailing out companies with top notch accountants overdrawn by billions. I did pretty good going over a $200 credit
limit... I'm like big deal!!
Wow, I'm certainly in the minority, never having had a credit card.. I've got a VISA, but it's a debit card, and that's all I need.. Don't see the need for a credit card, really, and it's not very common among younger people here (I'm 21). Or, well, I guess I could see the use in certain cases, but nothing that is relevant for me yet.
16Nope. We have a $10,000 limit, so it'd be VERY hard to go over it!

years and year ago when i first had credit cards i wasn't nearly as responsible and i hate to say it but yes. now i am really good about it and i've managed to pay things down enough so that i don't go over them.
