There's an untapped resource for entertainment in most of our living rooms, and the best part is that it's free! If you're like my friends and me, you probably have a bookshelf with some titles that haven't been opened since you first read them. We keep great books with the intention of re-reading them at some point, but that goal is often forgotten when the review of a great new book catches our eye.
Enjoy free entertainment this weekend and save gas by not having to drive to your local library — simply scour your shelves until you find a title that suits your mood. And if you're tired of your books, why not organize a book exchange with a friend or two? It may not be as fun as getting lost in the aisles of Barnes & Noble, but it's much kinder to your wallet.

i'm the kind of person that once i read something once i don't usually feel the urge to re-read it, so either i recycle the book or i go to sites supported by eBay like HALF.COM and i resell the books. i'm usually very good with them so they are usually in excellent condition and even though i don't get the full value of the book back when i sell it, i still get a little something.
1www.bookcrossing.com is a great website for book swapping. I've been participating for a couple years and have TONS of books on my shelves that I've received from other people just by sending along books I don't want anymore. The basic membership is free.

Same here Renee and Julia! I thought I was the ONLY one! I keep all of my books too so that I
could hopefully one day buy a house with a library like that! 
5I go on book-buying sprees but rarely end up reading everything. I could probably get myself through the winter with the things on my shelves!
6I am a HUGE re-reader. And yes, Belle was easily the best Disney princess due to her innate nerdiness and brown hair
7I'm not much of a re-reader, either. But I usually have a dozen or so library books on my shelves.
8I haven't bought a book in a while. I love going to the library and browsing through the books. Plus, I know whatever I check out will be free.
9I haven't bought a book in a while either. I have about half a dozen books on my shelf I still haven't read, the library is around the corner from my house, and my flatmates also have plenty of books in their room so we swap a lot.
