If given the option, most of you would choose to live a life of leisure and volunteerism like Charlotte on Sex and the City. I'm wondering if the preference is based on the feeling that your current job isn't meaningful to you and you'd find greater fulfillment as a volunteer, or if you'd rather just have the time to do whatever you want and your preference has nothing to do with your current job. So tell me, is your job fulfilling?

I am currently a lucky student who does not have to work, but I am always wondering, will my education amount to the job I want, and if so will the job I want be sustainable for me, and again, if so, will it be as meaningful as I think it will be?
1In other words, how probable is it that I will actually end up in the career I want, will it provide me enough of a living, and is it as awesome as I think it is? I'm in an awkward place of hoping, because all the practice I've had toward my future career is fun and fulfilling, but academic environments aren't the best reflectors of real life!
