Locking in the sale price for future use can be a great way to save on groceries. For those of you that have kitchen space to spare, do you stock up on non-perishables and frozen or freezable items when they are on sale?

Our kitchen is way too small for my husband and I to do this. We don't have enough cabinet space. Hmph. I would if I could though!
1I probably should. But I don't. One day I'll get into the swing of it.
2Sometimes the coffee we like will be on sale and I'll buy 2 or 3 bags instead of 1, but I don't really consider that amount to be stocking up.
3Now that I do buy more fresh, organic or local foods, there isn't as much opportunity to stock up. I almost never buy anything in cans now and I don't like to keep frozen foods around for too long. I'll buy an extra tube of toothpaste or bottle of shampoo, but even then I'll only buy one extra.
4i like to stock up on things that won't go bad, that's why I have a costco problem haha. you can never just go in there for one thing!
5I realized today that I totally do. I use pasta-roni and rice-a-roni as side dishes when I'm cooking something simple... and they were 88 cents! I ended up buying like, 5 things of pasta and 5 things of rice. I'm so excited. I mean, 88 cents!
I also stock
up on other non-perishables. I have three jars of peanut butter right now.
6yeah, only if it something i always use, and if its packaged compact enough to store it easily.
7We save a ton of money by doing this. We have a large stand-up deep freezer and old grocery store shelves in our outbuilding/garage (aka "The Man Cave") so there's plenty of space. I stock up on frozen veggies, canned goods, other non-perishables, paper products and even clearanced meat.
8Yeah, particularly stuff like shower gel or cans. I'm not a fan of freezing everything but I do that too sometimes.
9I stock up on toothpaste and soap when they are on sale. Otherwise, I am afraid of food going bad so I buy that when needed.
10if it's a product that i know that i'll use a lot of then i would consider stocking up - but the challenge for me right now is that i don't have any storage space since i have a little apartment in NYC. my fiance and i like to stock up on things, but we just have NO ROOM for any of it. it's a shame, and we've even started keeping stuff at my mom's house in NJ since she has space but that means that we have to make the trip to her house to get things
11No, my kitchen is too small and I have been trying to buy more fresh foods instead of canned or frozen.
12Yes I do. My problem is that I end up being overstocked! Apparently, I'm much better at buying stuff on sale than using it up.
13We stock up all the time on things we regularily use - chicken kievs were half price the other day! such a handy thing to keep in the freezer for those nights we couldnt be bothered.
and toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, all that sort of stuff as we are always running out.
And we always keep a stock of stuff from AU in the cupboards to keep me happy when im homesick
14Only Mayo:) And that's b/c it's so expensive and hard to find the Kraft Fat-Free in the bigger version, and it goes on sale for like B1G1 so I stock hold them..can't have my chicken salad any other way hehe.
15My fiance and I definitely don't do this for a lot of reasons: little cabinet space, we consume mostly fresh stuff that would go bad if I stocked up, the cans/boxes would probably go in the back of the cabinet where we'd forget about them, and I don't want my kitchen and closets to be as crammed and messy as my future in-laws'! Our apartment's too small to do it; we just buy what we need and look for deals when we do shop.
16I do this! In fact, every week I sit down at the kitchen table and look through the ads, then shop accordingly. If there's a really good deal on something and I know I'll use it, I'll absolutely stock up. If it's not on sale, I don't buy it unless I really need it NOW.
17I always buy more than I need if it is on sale because I know I will use it at some point.
18i do, but i buy only the amount i know i can use. Like 2, or 3 for most stuff. For milk i can buy like 10 boxes, cause we drink a lot
