I've stopped selling stuff in eBay auctions, but I love selling on their used book site, half.com. It's so convenient to keep listing posted until the item sells.
1When I lived in a bigger city (san diego) I used to always sell stuff on craigslist. It was so easy and convinient! loved it! my current area (palm Springs) does have a craigslist but it's just not the same sad
2No, never. I never used ebay.
3Makes me nervous.
4Never on ebay. For me it is just too much trouble.
5i have sold a few things online in the past, but not a lot. i think that it's a great idea in theory but the cost to ship things and all that really means that i'm not making any money off the item, and it's not as worth it. i think that it's cool that there are some 'stores' that do eBay selling and you can take your stuff to them and although they get a % of what you make, it's sometimes better than managing it myself.
6I've bought stuff, but selling makes me nervous- I'm afraid I would get a seller who wanted to cause drama or something. I've heard horror stories.
7I've sold stuff on ebay, but I'm horrible about the mail. I also post stuff on craigslist...
8I've sold lots of books on Amazon. I read about 2-3 books a week, so they pile up quickly. Expensive books (textbooks, dictionaries, programming manuals) usually have a good resale value unless a new edition has come out in the meantime, and even for a used paperback I can net 2-3 Euros. I'm not getting rich this way, but it helps support my reading habit and keep the clutter at bay.
9I've bought plenty off of eBay but never used it to sell anything. I usually donate my items and take a tax deduction instead of selling it.
10Only old textbooks on half.com.
11I've sold on both ebay and half...it really is a way to clean out your house (so you can buy more stuff!)
if you are nervous to sell there are 2 main things you can do to protect yourself... setup the auction so that it can only be paid for using PayPal, and send all packages delivery confirmation.
12I have sold a David Yurman bracelet, which was given to me by an ex, on Ex-cessories.com. It felt really good to sell it and finally move it out of my drawer.
13No.
14Yes all the time!
I sold a Dolce G dress once for $400 and I always sell my old cell phones and text books online too.
They always get a good price.
I hate keeping junk around my house ( I live in a condo ) and I hate wasting things or throwing them away.
I feel like I'm recycling when I sell my unwanted things to someone else
15Haha. I almost sold something on Ebay. But I was also advertising it on Craigslist. So I guess that doesn't really count. But I would like to start selling some stuff on Ebay. I just need to make sure I fully understand what the heck I'm doing!
16I have sold Tons on Ebay, its the easiest thing in the universe to do!
17Me too caterpillargirl! I've sold TONS and also made huge amounts of $$ off of it too:) With using 'GarageSale' to put up the auctions, it's a cinch!
18I'm trying to sell my car on craigslist right now! Anyone interested in buying a black, 1999 Mazda Miata with an aftermarket turbo? hehe
19nope
20I have...
1. e-bay small stuff around my home
2. automobiles on yahoo! classifieds
3. Leased car on swapalease.com
I love the internet.
21i've sold many, many things on ebay: old clothes and stuff from around the house, things i bought wholesale, you name it.
