The cheap-stuff chain stores with the 99 Cents Only name thought long and hard about raising their prices above 99 cents. They've reached a decision that will help their bottom line and technically avoid pricing their items as $1: The highest price you'll find is 99.99 cents. What do you know about the consumer-friendly stores that love their nines?

Wow. I suck. I got 0/3 correct.
1Ha ha, those are trick questions
2How did they make any profits!?
3never saw those chains. only seen Dollar Trees
4Got them all wrong but I have never been to any of the $1.00 stores.
50/3. These stores are on the west coast and when I do visit California I always make a trip. I've seen whole heads of lettuce, frozen meals that retail for $4 or more and even bottles of wine.
6They're all over NYC. I usually buy cleaning products, sponges and dish cloths.
7I did horribly on this. The only item that I generally buy from dollar stores is gift wrap, because it's EXTREMELY overpriced elsewhere.
8I got one right. The .99 store here in my area are only in the suburbs.
9I didn't get even one right but, thanks for the points!
10I am actually very surprised that most of their products are made in the United States.
11wow - at least i got 2 out of 3 there. for myself - i've been to a $.99 store and i really like them, and my threshold for spending there is not more than $10. i think that if i go over that much then i'm buying too many things!
12never heard of these stores but I do know a thing or two about the Dollar Tree
13I did terrible at this! I've never heard of this store either, but I go to the Dollar Tree often for giftbags, wrapping paper & cleaning supplies.
140/3, yaaaay
