Checking the mail is often a disappointing experience; most days we walk away with nothing but bills and random junk. There's another expected piece of mail that is delivered a couple times each week — coupon circulars from local stores. What do you do with them?

Sometimes I use the coupons I get in the mail (or with the Sunday paper). I don't go out of my way to use them, but if it's something I'll probably buy I stick the coupons in my purse. Sometimes it saves a little bit of money. Most of the ones in the mail suck though.
1if they are the store specific ones - then if i'm not already planning to buy something, i won't look at them, but if it's those random ones that come in the envelopes..then i'll look through them since you never know what you're going to find. my fiance though, he ALWAYS looks through all of them and sees if there's something that we can save money on.
2These always seem to be for things I am not about to buy, like hardwood floor installation or a new water softener. Now the Sunday paper coupons are a different story. There is almost always something good in there!
3I keep all my coupons in my wallet - i have a dedicated section. then when i'm buying something at a shop i know i have coupons for, i check if any apply.
4i look through hoping for savings, but i always end up using them on something i normally do not buy....guess thats not much saving, right?
5This is kind of on and off the subject here.. but most of the time in our Sunday paper there are 40% off coupons in the World Market and Michael's (arts & craft) stores.

..like for example, I wanted this lamp [a few years back when it was $99].. with the coupon it ran me like $65 or so I think.. I had to get the light bulb part/cord and stuff too with it. So if you find a higher priced item that you want, those coupons work wonders to where you almost pay half.
For painters who are tight on cash needing to buy canvases or large frames, or if you want mirrors or like big pots/stands to put your plants in - the Michaels coupons are wonderful also.

6We get circulars from grocery stores, pharmacies, etc in my area. I always look through all of them and stock on some things that don't usually expire even though I don't need them. I don't know if I'm really saving or not.
7I really only look at the Costco coupons
8I do try to use them. They add up! I skim through everything and cut only the ones I'll need. Like they say, you don't end up saving money if you purchase something you don't usually buy!
9I throw them away without looking at them.
10I clip 'em and use 'em! Not all, obviously, but I skim through for the products that I usually use, because a penny saved is a penny earned
11Gosh, I WISH I could get coupon circulars in my mailbox! I'd have to PAY for them, with buying the Sunday paper here.
And they no longer let you have the left over Sunday paper for free the next day or days after :-\ Coupon circulars and flyers make me happy for some reason.
12I always skim and see what is on sale and I look for bargains.
13I skim through the coupons and clip the ones that I use.
14I clip the ones I'm going to use... then recycle the circular. [that option wasn't up there]
15I skim through and put the ones I think I might use in my wallet. I love coupons! They make me feel better when shopping cuz at least I saved something!
16I only use the ones i want if im shopping for something. Like, during winter last year, i paid 4.99(thanks to a coupon) for some coppertone sunblock that usually retails for more then 9 dollars.
17I also use them to buy hair color and and febreeze. I've an issue with paying up to 3 dollars for febreeze.
I do clip the coupons for items that I use. I also love when the stores double or triple the coupons. I keep coupons for fast food restauarants in my car. I am a saver.
18It seems to take too long to go through all of them. I use the coupons from the Sunday paper and from products I've already bought...and from individual stores like Express & B&BW & VS!!!
19I skim and see the ones I will for sure use and on products that I already buy and toss out the rest...
a long, long time ago, Kroger used to have a box thing where you could put your extra coupons in for others to search through and use but those days are long gone
20Sometimes there are some really good coupons for food. You can get some fast food on the CHEAP!
21I've started shopping sales almost exclusively - which I've always done for clothes and shoes, but now for groceries as well. I'm on e-mail lists for e-coupons and I compose my grocery lists based on what's on sale...eventually I end up with everything I need and I really save a lot this way.
