Labor Day is a United States federal holiday that was developed in the 19th century to acknowledge the social and economic achievements of working Americans. According to the US Department of Labor, the holiday "constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country."
There's nothing not to love about holidays that cause our employers to lock the office doors. Hopefully all of you hard-working girls are spending the day with your feet up and not catching up on work during your day off. Are you taking time for yourself today or will you be attending to some work issues?

I'm working right now.
1I mean, I work in hospitality, so I work every holiday, but it is annoying that my boss gets today off.
yeah...I'm also at work; I work on an ambulance. Unfortunately, people still get hurt on the holidays...LOL
2I'm off work. YAY! But unfortunately my bf has to work. We both work in television, but different spectrums. My job gets off holidays, his doesn't! I'm just gonna clean up a little and then go shoe shopping! I need new running shoes!
3luckily i don't have to work today - that's always a great thing for me - but i don't think that i'm going to go to any labor related events. (i.e. parade etc). i understand the importance of all that - but for me - i'm going to lay low
4I work at 3. I might shop a little... JUST A LITTLE, I swear.
5I went into work for a couple of hours..my boss was there which almost made me feel like I should have stayed the whole day...ALMOST!
6My company is closed for Labor Day, but I, unfortunately, have busy work to catch up on today.
7We hit the pool and had a bbq with friends. All but one of us work jobs that had off today.
8I had Labor Day off work, and I spent it laboring at home on energy-efficient improvements.
