We all need to rant about our daily grinds once in a while, but it's also important to consider what we appreciate about our jobs. The good stuff can be overshadowed by the stress and complaining, so let's send some positive vibes today! It is Friday, after all. What do you like about your job?

Uh, I'll be heading home soon?
1summer vacation! and winter break and spring break. (teacher)
downside: i obviously don't get paid on these breaks. lol
2the money is the only good thing, and it doesn't make it worth it. sorry to be a downer!
3That it is different everyday.
4My favorite part is that it pays me. Actually that, the hours, and the distance from where I live are the only good things about it.
5Usually on Fridays I get to go home early and during the summer I take every other Friday off. I Also, surf the web all day long....pay my bills, do a little of online "window" shopping and mark my wish list items, and catch up with one of my favorite blogs.
6i like how laid back it is, casual fridays, my co-workers (well, most of them), and my job is easy-peasy.
7i like a sense of accomplishment, being very busy, checking things off my to-do list, and getting positive reinforcement!
i also like getting a paycheque, and though it doesn't happen very often, i got a sweet new permanent position yesterday that equates to over 10K extra a year on my salary, so i can't complain about that!
8the ONLY thing I like about my job is the fact that I get paid every two weeks. I hate this place.
9My job is slowly crushing my spirit, but it does afford me the ability to buy clothes from Banana Republic.
10Being able to come in 1/2 hour late or take 20 extra minutes at lunch. No one monitoring internet use. Ha!
11I'm one of the lucky people I guess, because I honestly LOVE my job and there is very little that I dislike about it.
Why I love it:
1. I can bring my dog to work every day
2. I'm well compensated, and my raises have been near 15% each time.
3. My boss is very understanding and sympathetic
4. We get over a week off during the Christmas/New Year holiday
5. My job is challenging, so it's very rewarding at the same time
6. The discipline I work in (interactive web development and design) is ever-developing and never dull
7. My boss does not monitor internet usage
8. I get to wear whatever I want to work
9. I get along with ALL of my coworkers
Hooray!
12this is really sad but i love the perks of my job. my reps always like to thank us for business etiher through lunches/dinners or manicures/pedicures. the best is even the massages/spa nights. i've been able to get my monthly massages for the past year w/o having to shell out the bucks myself.
besides that though - ireally do like what i do - it's a job that usually uses my brain quite thoroughly - and it's rewarding when the client says they appreciate me.
13Unstructured time (and the freedom to do some critical thinking about my tasks if I choose to), a more than fair salary, a fair amount of do-gooding for the public, and repeated assurance that my skillset is more than marketable. When I choose to remember those things, they make up for some of the backstabbing, antiquated processes, and sprawling committee structures.
14I work on children's policy issues for a foundation and I love that literally every story I see on the news somehow relates to my work... I also enjoy some of the perks like the being sent to national conferences to expand my network, and most recently going to the U.S. Capital through the "Official Business" door. It helps to be fairly compensated and have cheerful, smart coworkers.
15I am a home health care/cna and i love the people that i take care of the most. the days are never the same. its very rewarding for me.
16I trully believe I can reach people.
17I'm an endocrinologist and I love helping people and helping make people healthy. It also doesn't hurt that I get paid a ton and I work in the same building as my husband (He's head of neurology dept.)
18The cookies.
19For the most part, I like my job. I am in field sales so I'm not cooped up inside all day and sitting around doing nothing. It keeps me active and the hours are also pretty flexible. Also, I have a company car and I don't have to pay for gas!!!! The pay is pretty decent and the health insurance is excellent. I just don't like my boss too much, but I do like my coworkers. I like to socialize and being in sales, I get to do it all day long. But any salesperson knows, you just have to have tough skin and be able to take anything in stride.
20I love... that I can talk back to the head of my company.
21"Whatever the princess says goes!" (to a long-haired/bearded 55-year old Jewish hippie) wouldn't have flown so well in my military days. I love that they buy me an endless supply of Red Bull. I love that when I went to see an Orthopedic specialist today, my co-pay was ZERO. I love that I get to express my quirky fashion sense. And most of all... I love my paycheck. Even if I wish it were a little more.
getting paid
22I love that it's flexible and that I have creative leeway. It sometimes feels like I get paid to get out of the house for the day.
23I love my coworkers, they are so much fun and come from all around the globe so theres always an interesting story. and I love the freedom to learn whilst on the job. If i'm not doing something, I'm free to (for instance) learn VBA to automate our excel reporting, or implement something new in sharepoint. They are allowing me to develop my role and my career with little guidance, which is so nice.
AND I dont have strict times, so I can work whenever I want, as long as its 7.5 hours a day (sometimes even from home!). My job really is cushy as anything!
24I love being a teacher and watching my students grow smarter every single day! I love listening to their great ideas and theories about math, social studies, reading and writing that on MOST days, I go home extremely happy and proud.
I also enjoy my staff as they're great people, and my pay is actually really great - katie225 - you don't get paid over vacations and for summer vacay?
We also get 10 do-whatever-we-want (sick, vacation) paid days during the school year. If we don't use them, we get reimbursed for a full day's pay at the end of the school year.
25I love that I am doing what I love.
I love the fact the it's a creative environment, with creative people.
I like the fact that one of my producers lets us order lunch once a week.
I have a GREAT boss & a pretty good supervisor as well. The both believe in me & want to see me further my develop my skills.
But... I need a raise. Bad.
26I enjoy my work and get a great deal of satisfaction out of my accomplishments. It means a lot to me.
27I like helping people find what they need (I work in a library).
28I don't like my job, it sucks but it pays really good considering I'm online doing what I want 75% of the time.
I guess it's pretty laid back here too just wish it was in a different field.
29I love crunching number and the rush I get from having to meet a deadline. This happens 2x out of the month the other time isn't that busy. I also get a lot of time off and I get along with the people I work with.
30I really love my job because my boss and and co-workers are awesome and very nice to me. I was sexually harrassed at all my other jobs so it is wonderful to have such nice people. Also, they pay me really well!!! They pay on time and re-imburse expenses on time too. I live really close to work too so that is huge. I actually moved just to be close. Commuting was crushing my soul. I do like what I do, I am in sales, and it is pretty fun and exciting to talk to new people and try out different tactics to get people to buy things, it is actually fun. I am super lucky because ive had SO many bad jobs, I hope I can work here forever
