We'd all love to make more money in general, but we should also be pretty pleased when we're being paid enough for the work we do. Are you fairly compensated for your job compared to the other people in similar roles?

I dunno...I think I am making the right amount...but in a way I think my work kinda cheaps out on me too. Like school for instance. Right now I am attending part-time studies and I asked them if perhaps they could help me out with it and all I got was a no.
1I'm pretty sure my salary is comparable to nurses at other hospitals in the city, for my experience. However, I just heard that one other hospital gave EVERYONE across the board a $2 cost of living raise. That would be wonderful as this is an expensive city.
2I'm very fortunate to have a position with a woman-owned consulting business where I can work as many hours as I want with a fantastic hourly salary. Our boss also started a 401k plan for us this year and matches our contributions. The plus is I never have to limit my vacation time because we don't have paid vacation but that's also a minus -- when I don't work, I don't get paid.
3I am paid well, but I really need more hours and some benefits to make it really fair.
4I'm paid about average, but when I factor in the awesome (fully paid) health coverage, dental, 401k, etc. I feel I'm doing much better than most in my field.
5I recently got a new job and feel that I FINALLY am making what I deserve.
6I know I don't make what I deserve and am currently looking for a new job to finally do so!
7Compared to other companies, I think my employer pays very well. But when I compare my salary within the company I work for, I think I deserve a higher pay.
8heeecks no! Since I'm a gov't employee, we're paid based on years of successful service and the number of degrees we have. So, while I may be a really great teacher, because I only have 4 years of service I get paid a lot less than someone who sucks but has been teaching longer.
9It's not fair and I would love some kind of performance based pay. That'll never happen.
yes ma'am, i am.
10The taxpayers apparently think I shouldn't be paid at all.
