Temp agency. I was temping for a year in the office I currently work in and I was hired after the office was creating a new job opening due to the increasing work load.
I've been here for 8 years now.
my current job i found by submitting my resume to the company's website - but i do have a few recruiters who are always sending me open positions in the hopes that there's something great out
there.
neither of my post-law school jobs were advertised, now that I think about it. I got one from having interned there previously (a spot opened up and they just gave it to me and didn't
interview anyone else). The other a friend told me about. No one else was interviewed for it, either.
Monster.com ---I was a freak that would scroll through about 30 job boards and company websites daily when I was unemployed. My goal was to really search but to carefully apply to at least 25
jobs a day. Sometimes it was harder and then sometimes I would just luck up and find a posting on my city job board.
i was searching and also had my resume posted on sites... a recruiter contacted me and bingo!
i wasn't looking for this job, i was looking for something more corporate... but i am working in my dream office with a wonderful team - we are more like a family than colleagues
When I was applying for my first job, I sent over 70 resumes out by mail, about 30 by e-mail, and a few by fax. I went online and got a list of places under 'graphic design' or some type of
design. I also looked for advertising agencies as well. One of the 70 resumes I mailed ended up being pick up by my current employer.
Networking and going to Bar events (that's the legal Bar, not a bar bar ) when I was
a judicial law clerk (a job I found, btw, through a former co worker!). Networking is the way to go

As I've just moved countries, I found my job through a network of about 15 recruiters, and everyday I'd ring them and see what was happening, and apply for all the new jobs on the online
boards. I ended up being offered two roles, both the same pay at the same company (one was a contractor to this companny) and the contractor paid more! LOL so I went with them.
At my previous job, I was old fashioned and looked at the newspaper. At the one before that, I had a friend who worked there who recommended me for the position.
I went to the AIA (American Institute of Architects) website, looked up all the registered architects in my area and went to their websites and sent in my resume whether they wanted it or
not.
I'm freelance so when I want more clients, I go "head hunting"--I research whatever companies are in my niche, then waltz in and flash my million-dollar smile. I LOVE MY JOB!

I guess I was old school and found it in the newspaper.
2It was posted online through a temp agency as a permenant position!
3a friend called and told me about it
4Craigslist! It's a great site to look for jobs and not as overwhelming as Monster or Careerbuilder.
5Connections.
My boss at my previous job helped me a lot. The position I applied for
(I've since been promoted) wasn't advertised.
6I replied to a newspaper ad a year before I got hired; they kept my materials on file and called me when they had an opening.
7my firm's website
8Through my Aunt. So basically it was who I knew.

10I also started out as a temp and after three months, the work never ended and kept increasing actually so they asked me to stay on full-time.

12Sent in my resume even though no open position was advertised, and was lucky enough to be hired.

15A former co-worker needed an admin assistant and thought of me. I didn't even have to interview, she just called and offered me the job.

18FYI, I mean my first job out of college.
19Love my Craigslist! I've found jobs many ways, though--walking in and asking for one, getting headhunted, Monster.Com.
20I'm with Jude C and fluer fairy! I LOVE craigslist! That's how I found this job.
21Alumni career fair.

23Word of mouth. I would get recommended by other people in the industry who knew and worked with me.
