Employees at Jobing.com have the option of getting their cars wrapped in the company's advertisement in exchange for $500 a month in free gas.

Workers are reimbursed for any gas they use, not just the mileage it takes to get to and from the office. The company's marketing director said that this year there's a waiting list for cars awaiting a Jobing makeover.
Would you take advantage of this type of incentive if your company offered it?

I couldn't do it! My car is my baby!
1Gas is too damn expensive, I would in a heartbeat. As long as it isn't even too ridiculous.
2I would have done it if I still have my banged up old '92 Toyota.
But now I don't even have a car.
3I was thinking about this the other day and I would absolutely do it. I could use the extra money for soooooooooooooo many things.
4not on my main car but another car and share the money for my main sure
5sure as long as it was like a huge wiener-mobile or something
6Nope. Not now, anyway. I drive so infrequently that I usually fill my tank once every 4-6 weeks. Totally not worth it.
I might consider it if I had a long commute but I still think that I'd feel like a sellout. Plus, it's really tacky.
7Hehe, well I suppose one could, if asked, just say "company car" and shrug (and lie).
I don't use a car where I live, or even own one at the moment (I do miss it sometimes)...but if I did, I would really have to feel I could justify the goofy paintjob.
I don't think I ever spent 500 bucks in gas in a month, ever, not even in the UK where I was used to my Audi's tank costing 80 dollars to fill. (because it lasted for weeks).
8maybe....with that kind of advertising though, you are usually asked to drive a route everyday for exposure, making sure the car is seen, parking it in places where its visble, going thru major cities...in the end all the gas money would be used for all of their "advertising", because you would be driving everywhere. so no thanks..
9Very appropriate Whiplashgirl. RIP Isaac Hayes!!!
10it all depends on what i have to put on my car. if it's a full car wrap like the one in the pic above, then no - i wouldn't do it - but if it was a partial wrap - then perhaps. (i work in adv. so i know the overall costs for these things, so i should make sure that i'd get enough compensation right?)
11I would do it!
12I wouldn't if I had a new car...because I would be getting better gas milage already AND well it's brand new. But I would with mine!
Absolutely! Well, maybe. If they gave me the car I'd do it. But not a chance in hell if they wanted to ruin MY car.
13I would do my own car they could have to provide the car. My friend did something like this a few years back.
14wouldn't
15I don't drive to work. But if I do, I would be okay with the ads as long as I have an extra ad-free car to use.
