A piece of my heart belongs to my bank: It reimburses me monthly for any transaction fees incurred from using other banks' ATMs. Other banks are not as customer friendly in this regard; is yours one of them?

My bank pays up to I think $25 in ATM fees per month, for this and many other reasons, I LOVE my bank and will never switch!
1My bank is a tiny credit union and used to charge for any other ATM's - which sucked because there is only one branch of my credit union in the city.
But last year they struck up a deal with a huge bank here in Philly. Now I can use any one of those bank's ATMs for free (and there's a branch three blocks from my home and two from my office).
2My bank doesn't reimburse me, but there's a Bank of America EVERYWHERE so I really don't have to worry about it that much.
3WaMu doesn't charge me for using another ATM which is cool but the other bank does...so i guess its in the middle WaMu is becoming more wide spread so i usually just go wherever they are. The Bank i absolutely hate is BofA.
4I am BofA and just too lazy to change banks. It is such a pain in the butt. There are way too many fee's.
5PNC atm's are fee-free for all!
6I have BofA and I love it, there are ATM's everywhere and I can just get cash back at most places. I'm not sure why people don't like it as much, I've never had a problem with them. I HATE WaMu, worst customer service EVER!
7My bank charges for other ATM's but I have a branch of my bank up the street from me so when I leave the house and know I will need cash I just go there. No big deal. My bank has lots of branches anyway. I don't really ever have a need for using another ATM. I think maybe twice in 5 years I may have done it in an emergency.
8The day they let you get cash back when you made purchases at drug stores, grocery stores, etc., was one of the best days of my life. I detest ATM fees and avoid them whenever possible. Now when I need cash I just buy something I will need anyway and get the cash. This is particularly good now that I travel for work and I'm not always near a B of A ATM.
9We have Bank of America and they are just EVIL! They charge us for everything!
10My bank reimburses me for ATM charges!
11I also have Bank of America and agree that they are evil. But all banks are evil--that's how they make money. There's no point in changing. Besides, if there's not a BOA around (like where my parents live--no BOA in Alabama), then I just buy a pack of gum at the CVS and get cash back. $1 for something I can actually enjoy is better than $4 in fees from the 2 banks involved in an atm transaction.
12I use a local bank and they used to charge but probably about a year ago they started crediting for up to 10 non-affiliated atms which I totally love!
13i have a love hate relationship with my bank.
14i love the fact that there is ATM's EVERYWHERE,
but i'm going to have to agree with my fellow
Bank of America users..their horrible.
In the US, yes - but in the UK, I can use any ATM I want. It's great.
15Yep - Wells Fargo charges $2.50 for using a non Wells ATM, and usually the ATM itself charges $1 to $3 for using it!! Generally, I don't take out money from ATMs if I can help it - it's no good paying up to $5.50 to take out a $20!
16Mine does, but I only use a non-affiliated ATM like 1x or 2x a year. I hardly use ATMS anyway. Long story, but my nearest bank branch is 3 hours away. I'm still using my small-town hometown bank. If I need cash I just get cash back at when I am purchasing groceries. Or, like a previous poster, I'll buy a pack of gum or a magazine & get cash back. If I am spending $2.50 why waste it???
17I have bank of america and they charge $3!!!
18but Im not switching banks anytime soon.
I have 2 checking accounts one is with a credit union which reinburses ATM fees by depositing into my savings account (which is a sneaky way to get me to save money!). My other account is with the bank I work at and they don't refund ATM fees.
19I used to have to pay to use the ATM at school, and when I travel, the fees can be up to $3 I think it's ridiculous
20It doesn't matter that mine does though. I pay for almost everything w/ my debit card that earns me frequent flier miles. I carry a small amount of cash just in case that I replace as needed when I deposit my checks.
21my bank reimburses me but its an effort to do so. i have to collect them and save the receipts from said atms. fill out a form bring it in by a certain date then they will credit the fees on to my account a few days later.i dont go to atm but maybe 3 times a month. it isnt worth the hassle to get credited to my account. atm is convenience. you pay for it being convenient.
