Here at Sugar HQ we're lucky to dress as we please every day of the week, but I didn't always have it so good. My old office had me buttoned up day in and day out, though on Fridays most employees interpreted our business-casual dress code on the more casual side.
Men would wear khakis and a more colorful button-up shirt, and women might wear a sweater or a more comfortable dress than usual. There was nothing in our extensive code saying that we could tone it down on Fridays and we simply established the habit for ourselves. The majority of you have business-casual dress codes at the office, but does Friday mean you dress more casually?

We are supposed to dress 'business casual' everyday but we defi dress more casual than those terms originally define. Friday we can wear jeans and I usually wear a very casual top with them- even on the weekdays I wear work-type pants and a casual sweater on top or even nice sleeveless tops- there's almost no rules as long as you are being appropriate, and I always have my hair done up nicely so I think that helps with the "casual-ness" of my typical attire.
I work at home, so it's nekkid Fridays for me! Weeeeee!
I've beem lucky enough to work exclusively in extremely casual offices -- message tees and shorts casual (though the AC has been crazy in all my offices, so no shorts for me). One company that both my dad and I worked for, was on the 5th floor of a 7 floor building, with the top two floors being occupied by a large law firm. We rode the elevator with them every day, and one day during my dad's Hawaiian shirt phase -- I think it was a Tuesday -- he was wearing a bright red Hawaiian shirt, and I was wearing a message tee, jeans, and flip flops. One of the lawyers asked if we were getting an early start on the weekend. It was so early in the morning (by our standards at least!), the best my dad could manage was "uhhh... no?" Lol.
I'm a scientist -- so everyday is casual day! I swear, I could roll into lab in my pajamas and nobody would even notice as long as I still did my experiments...
I just want to find out where the model got her purple top -- it's really cute!
My office is uber-casual. I wear jeans every single day, unless I have an in-person client meeting, which is rare.
Retail means big weekends, so I dress up a little extra on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You'll catch me with tee-shirts under my suit-coat during weekdays. I try to be more fabulous when more people are going to be there.
Between working in a public school and freelancing in web development, I get to be casual everyday. The best is when I'm doing work at 2am in my PJs.
I work in a remote office within the clients *massive* site, so our only rule is no flip flops and no jeans, but anything else is ok. I usually rock out in ballerina flats, skirts and whatever kind of funky top I can find. I make the best use of the fact i'm one of the few women in my building and on site. Its soooooo nice not to have restrictions!
I don't work on Fridays!
Like Julieulie, I'm a scientist, so pretty much whatever goes, though long pants and closed toe shoes are rules for the lab. Fridays are just like any other day. Sometimes I wish I had a reason to wear nicer clothes, other days I'm happy I can do what I like!
I work in a leasing office at an apartment community, and in my first weeks there, I had some people come in on a Friday, which I had been super dressed up for, and they told me that they actually came back because we looked more professional and proper for the job! It's hard not to make my own casual Fridays, but every time I think about doing it, I think about those people!
My office is pretty casual every day, but by "casual" I mean dresses/skirts/dark denim with cardigans, etc. but on Fridays we can break out the sneakers and t-shirts.
Unfortunately, I gave up my casual Friday rights when I took my new position. However, Friday is the day I don't have to work with suit-wearing consultants, so instead of my usual business casual outfits with more focus on the business, on Fridays, I occasionally focus a little more on the casual side of things. Still no jeans for me, though.
oy its jeans and cute shirts mon-fri for me! and once in a while i will throw in a pair of heels just to mix it up a little!
they let them dress like dirtbags where I work
