Maybe you've been donning your Summer duds for a few weeks now, but today is Summer's official start. Warm weather lends itself to some low-cost activities like park picnics and going for hikes, but it also means more frequent opportunities to sit outside for after-work happy hours, leisurely Saturday al fresco lunches, and weekend excursions to places with somewhere to swim.

I do spend more because my son is off school for a few weeks. he has summer school, but is off part of June and part of August. I end up spending more on groceries and my electric bill goes up since we are home more.

5Not more, just differently.

8Yes yes yes. I have a toddler who is very active so I'm always trying to find fun and exciting things for us to do to keep him from being bored. So those outings tend to cost alot when you're buying snack ans drinks on the go.
9I tend to be more mellow in the summer - hang at home, putter in the garden, see an occasional movie - and my daughter takes after me so we tend to spend less in the summer.
10I definitely spend LESS in the summer. I can enjoy the outside and don't need as much retail therapy. I spend more time outside doing free things and just enjoying the weather. I live in a place where it's pretty much winter for 6 months so I get really bored and spend more money then.
11I'm outdoors more which means more opportunities to spend.
12I definitely spend more in the Summer, but that's also because without school I can work two jobs thus have more money. I tend to save more too though, I find one big thing I want then work to save up for it and refuse to spend a dime till I meet my goal.
