CNN created this work-life balance calculator, and while seeing our lives as bland pie charts may not open our eyes to anything we don't already know, it's important to remind ourselves to think about the way we spend our time and revisit the sacrifices we're making. When we go too long without enough sleep, for instance, other areas of our lives may suffer. Have you checked your balance, lately?

sigh. this doesn't factor in the weekend so it's skewed to heck.
160% of my time is spent working or sleeping. lol. Why am I not surprised by this at all?
2I think I'm pretty well-balanced.
3I tried to track this on my own last year, for about a month I'd write down how much time was spent working/sleeping/eating.. but also wasting time online, exercising, watching tv, etc. It pretty much confirmed that I waste a lot of time.. but more than I thought.
4I have to work hard at balancing, but most of the time, I manage to balance work demands with down time. I think quiet time is the hardest to remember to have.
5Yeah, the fact that it includes the weekend in it doesn't really make it completely accurate. But other than that, this is a great find!
6I actually think it would be better to not know. I work too much
7I have 32.5 unplanned hours in the week, that must be the time spent on hold
8Hm, I think it is much more important what you are doing with that time. When I'm feeling trapped at work it is bad, when I am motivated and cruising through my files it is good even when I am working longer. When I am home sitting and watching crap tv it is bad, when I am motivated and making healthy dinner, chatting with my husband, seeing friends it is good.
It isn't just the time, but the effort you put into it to make it quality that impacts how you feel about it.
