Memorial Day is a national holiday, which means most companies close their offices in recognition. Some businesses keep their doors open to serve the slew of people who are enjoying their long weekend, or need to be available to international clients who obviously don't celebrate the holiday. Yes, as it was also a bank holiday in the UK ... I went to Paris with my boyfriend and dad. Though it was overcrowded since everyone was taking advantage of the long weekend, it was worth it.
