Maybe you've memorized the pricing patterns for the gas stations in your city, but road trips aren't conducive to shopping around for the cheapest gas. You're aware of approximately how much distance you can cover before needing to fill up, so before you take off on that Summer road trip do a little research to try and save on gas. Utilize a website like autos.msn, which tracks the prices of gas and sorts by zip code, in order to find the cheapest place to pump while you're on the road. The tool is located on the bottom right of the homepage.

I was just on gasbuddy.com trying to find the cheapest gas in my area. I love that site.
1I definitely use these kinds of sites! I don't usually remember though because I generally just go to Rotten Robbie's when I'm near home.
