Described as "a cross between Craigslist and eBay," Loanables is a site that lets its users post various items that become available for others to borrow. It's free to post something that you want to put up for loan, and the site allows you to post pictures and information and gives the option of asking for a security deposit from borrowers. You can sort the items by zip code, and the site's founder says you can find, "Everything from power tools to boats. There's even a horse on there and a couple of dogs. There is a lady who has posted her husband for doing handy work."

That is a pretty good idea! Especially funny about the woman lending out her hubby.
1I guess you can make money off of anything.
2I think this is a good idea for some people, but I don't know how into it I'd be.
3It's a good idea for certain things...but i don't know how comfortable i would feel letting someone borrow my stuff! People are usually not very careful if it's not theirs...
4Wow how neat! Can I rent out a family member? Ha. JK.
5this is kind of like the people who sell their loans on eBay to get people to bid on helping them pay off what they owe. i guess you can do about anything
6Couldn't these people just use freecycle? There's no money involved, but it has proven to be very successful thus far.
