The IRS had said that direct deposit using taxpayers with social security numbers with the last two digits falling between 00-20 should have received their rebate checks on May 2. The IRS introduced a new tool on their website called "Where's My Stimulus Payment" that allows you to check the amount and status of your rebate, but your information won't be available until on or after the scheduled date of your payment. The site makes it clear that you shouldn't try to use the tool before your date because it won't get you anywhere. Not sure when you're scheduled to receive your check? 2I just got mine today. my social falls in the 21-75 range which was supposed to be received May 5th. I am trying to be good and put it all towards my cc bill but i think i will have to save $100 to treat myself, and i put $50 in my savings. Oh shoot, mother's day is coming...make that $50 for myself $50 for mom

4It's funny you mention the I.R.S.! Just to entertain myself, I just logged into my bank account...on 5/2/08 the U.S. Treasury directly deposited a whopping $44.59 so I hope that means Uncle Sam is done digging in my ass for awhile!!!!! Word of advice to Team Sugar: Never owe the IRS. They will get their money sooner or later...
5I was supposed to get mine by May 2 but haven't gotten it yet. I am glad to know I am not the only one! I was starting to think something might be wrong with my tax return.
6I was scheduled to get mine today May 5th, however it's not in my account and my friend has not recevied hers today. I would have thought that the payment would have posted to our account first thing in the morning. I wonder will it be in my account tomorrow morning.

9my payment wasn't scheduled until may 9. i tried it anyway, and it told me how much i would be getting and the date it would be deposited. YAY!!
10great!! so mine is scheduled for May 9 deposit. I was soooo hoping I would get it tomorrow or the next day!! Oh well, at least I am getting it...and we definitely need it right now!

I went online to the irs.gov site and it gave me the deposit date of May 9th and the exact dollar amount. I read another post on this site that they have changed the schedule back to the original one. Talk about confusing everyone!!! Well at least it's coming this week. I'm still trying to decide on what to use the money for. My husband and I are splitting it in half, he's getting a flat screen TV, and I am undecided. I am going to try my best to save some of it, but it's going to be hard to do because I have a few bills that I want to play catch up with. I know that I am not alone where that's concerned.
13Everyone should go to that IRS website! It's great that you can track you rebate already! It made me feel better. I was kinda scared about not getting it on time or at all. (I don't always trust what the government says and I need to deal with that cause I'm an Air Force wife).
On the website it says to not check the status of your rebate until the day of when its due (cause the info won't be there) but I checked mine today (May 6th) and I'm not due to get mine until May 9th!

14Mine was supposed to be direct deposit last Friday. I checked the IRS tool "Where's my stimulus payment" and it told me that my information did not match their records. Upon reading further, I found out the reason. If filing or preparation fees were deducted from your 2007 Refund or you received a rapid refund, you will be receiving a check instead of a direct deposit. So if you had your fees deducted from the refund and still have not seen a direct deposit, then you are probably going to get a paper check in the mail. Sorry!
15irs sucks! i really needed this money...was suppose to get it today.
16facing foreclosure and found out that my fees were taken out of refund. how stupid! will not get paper check til june. i filed in feb. the way they do the mail outs are unfair!
Yay, the website finally updated to show me how much I get: strangely enough, I only get $300. I find this strange because I made enough, but not too much last year and I just graduated from college so it's not like I have a lot of assets.
