Impulse buying can be disastrous to a budget, but sometimes it's been known to bring my closet some long-time favorites. Buying something on the spot isn't always a bad thing if you're not over-spending, and if the items you're buying will be useful in your life.

However, certain stores lend themselves to the worst kind of purchases — the take-home-and-forget-about-it-forever kind because you never should have bought it in the first place. Headband when you're not a headband-girl, anyone? Or maybe a wooden foot massager that never made it close to your feet?
Dunhill
Prada
T-Bags
Yup I have a few items I never use.
1I am really not that bad at this...I am not an impulse buyer. I really think about if I need it before I buy it.
2I buy a lot of things and never use them... :S Especially clothes!
3I am guilty of this. I buy a lot of things and don't use them or use them once. I kept watching this infomercial once for something called the express 101 (?) and i just had to have it after all the wonderful things they cooked on it. Well i used it once and it has been sitting in my cabinet since then, but i can't seem to get rid of it as i keep telling myself i will use it. Same thing with the George Forman grill, it is just as easy to throw burgers into a frying pan than trying to clean that.
4Guilty... clothing.
5I tend to do this with kitchen appliances or cutlery.
6i buy a lot of things i dont need, like another black skirt or pair of black shoes, but i always use them. if i dont i return it or give it to goodwill.
7I used to be horrible with this but since I have started to really put a lot of thought into how wasteful americans are and the tendency we have to buy things we don't need I am doing much better. I am also taking the time to spend a little extra to get something that is better quality.
8I do this with clothes and stuff I intend to gift to others but then I buy them something else or end up giving them a bunch of little stuff.
9i do this with crafts and fabrics because i figure i'll use it someday....
10I typically buy clothes that are on sale by impulse without asking myself "When would I wear this?". I also have a ton of drugstore cosmetics rarely used, again it's the sales that kills me.
11Sometimes with clothing that I think I'll wear but end up not liking after a short time.
12I do it occasionally especially if stuff is on sale or I put it away without trying it first. That stuff ends up at Goodwill.
13I don't do as much spur of the moment buying as I did at one time, but I still do occasionally bring something in the house that never gets used.
14i think i have - i'm just not sure what they were.
wait - i know - i saw a commercial on TV for kinoki or something like that. you put these patches on your feet before bed and they pull out all the toxins from your body. i have them, yet never used them. i'm going to use them tonight just so that i can say that i don't usually impulse shop!
15Oh man, so many things...
16I did it a lot more before I was out on my own, but still have a ton of stuff I am guilty of buying on impulse.
17Definitely a sinner is this area: two words: Beauty products and clothes. But I do believe most people do more or less.
18I've never in my entire life bought something I never used. I know what I want.
19Lunch breaks are dangerous in NYC!! Just a simple stroll can cost major $$$ even though your out for just coffee...
20I keep buying dresses that I think I'll find a reason to wear, but then when an occasion arises that would require a dress, I got out and buy another one.
And I keep buying shoes that I think I'll wear, but then they turn out to be so uncomfortable that I
never want to wear them.
21I'm guitly of this too. I do it all the time when I'm traveling.
22pfff a few times don't remind me tho :-X
