Last month I told you how excited I was that the five dollar bill was getting a purple makeover, and I'm happy to announce that it's now in circulation! The Federal Reserve has started sending the fancy fives to banks, the banks then issue the bills to businesses, and eventually they'll make it into the hands of you and me. Of course the old fives will remain in circulation until they wear out, and the new purple accents will stand out even more when we compare them side by side. High five!

Sweet! I LOVE purple and money so combining them is cool!
1our money is starting to look like the Euro - which isn't a bad thing since Euros are so colorful. i wonder if there are going to be issues with ppl thinking that they are counterfeit though...that was a problem i think when they introduced the new bills a year or so ago.
2Love the purple but how much is devloping new money costing us when we're in a recession.
3Oooh I might just have to walk down to the bank and see if I can get one.
Problem is, I'd probably never spend it. Stupid purple.
4I'm going to go to the bank to see if I can get one. I don't ever actually USE cash, though, just my debit card.
5Oh, I forgot to say that my debit card is pink so it's always prettier than cash, hehe.
6Hooray!!! for the new purple 5!! I know someone who will be excited to get their hands on one!
7That looks so cool, I hope they add more color to U.S. money.
8Yay! I've always found American currency so boring aesthetically
